The interstate rail terminal at Keswick was seen as a vital gateway for tourism to South Australia. In 2005 it was determined that this site was not meeting the standards or requirements that were expected of it.
ATOMIQ was engaged to complete the Master Plan that would improve guest comfort and amenity, traffic and passenger movement, food and retail facilities, image, identity, presentation and sustainability and to identify future development opportunities.
Stage One was opened in 2008 under the rebranded identity of Adelaide Parklands Terminal.
